Our first stop is the most important capital of the Mayan world – Chichen Itza. We will visit the Castle or the Pyramid of Kukulcán, named one of the seven wonders of the modern world. We will also explore the beauty of the Feathered Serpent, the largest Ball Court in Mesoamerica and the Observatory of the Snail, where the ancient Maya made astronomic calculations with an unbelievable accuracy. We’ll wander through the infamous and mysterious Sacred Cenote where beautifully dressed maidens were sacrificed to Chaac, God of the Rain. No tour to this area would be complete without a stop at the Temple of the Thousand Columns – a notable heritage of the Itzaes.

We will explore Valladolid where we can see the architecture of the Colonial era. Called the “Pearl of the Orient”, Valladolid rebelled against injustice in 1947 in the War of the Castes. The Mexican Revolution was began here in 1910. Valladolid is also known for its excellent cuisine and beautiful Colonial buildings such as The Church of San Gervasio and the Temple of Santa Ana.
Convent Of San Bernardino De Siena
The first seat of the Franciscan Order in Valladolid, for more than four centuries the convent, jealously protected within the walls of the parish church, vestiges of the forms of evangelization used by the friars to “convert” the Mayas of Yucatan.
This beautiful cavern will surprise you with its size and natural beauty.
