What do people say about Yucatan Concierge?

We booked yucatan Conceirge for a few days in Merida. Everything was easy and enjoyable. Daniella was responsive in coordinating and helping us arrange everything. And we really enjoyed our time in the hands of David Bacab ( guide ) and Martin Morales ( driver ). Everything was smooth sailing. The day trip we made were well planned. The information and content that David shared was interesting. And Martin was so helpful and fun. Made for an awesome holiday in Merida. Can’t recommend the team enough. 👍👍

Excellent destination, rich food, can visit cenotes, museums and beach. Highly recommended except the company with whom we rent a car. It is the cheapest but as they always do they made us a mandatory insurance charge, even when we had them covered by the credit card. The car in terrible condition (brakes and roll). Be careful because cheap costs dear. NÜ CARS Lousy.

We returned for dinner at the La Boheme restaurant in the Trs Yucatan Riviera Maya, with the pleasant surprise of being served by the waiter CESAR, incredible dedication to making us feel comfortable. The food is exquisite as you already know...the chef is impeccable. We continue trying all the proposals...Special congratulations to the chef and Cesar.

I just returned from Merida. I found Yucatán Concierge online and planned my trip with Daniela. I never really feel safe planning online so I ask a lot of questions. Daniela patiently answered them and gave her own great suggestions which I ended up taking. We not only did this tour but also did a day at Celestun with beach, flamingos and boat ride through mangrove forest which was so great. They also did all our transfers. David our guide was knowledgeable and kind. Edgar our driver made us feel well taken care of. Daniela was always available for questions and reservations. It was an amazing trip and I highly recommend that you use them!!!

We strongly recommend Daniella and her team for a trip to Yucatan. Daniella worked tirelessly, professionally and patiently with us to plan a two-person itinerary that was initially disrupted by Covid, so the itinerary took several iterations. Daniella designed an itinerary that comprehensively covered the historical, cultural, archeological and architectural items we were interested in, plus many more aspects specific to the time of year we visited, i.e., Day of the Dead. Her Merida lodging recommendation and her responsiveness were spot-on.We spent 7 days of day trips touring Yucatan in the company of the outstanding guide David Bacab and the excellent driver Antonio. Our experience was so positive that we are beginning to plan a return trip to the region in the relatively near future so we can explore more Mayan archeological sites.

Outstanding. As a photographer we needed a guide who knew the area and birds. David Boucup was the right one. Through the whole two hours on the boat he managed to find and allow close photos of the birds we wanted to see. He topped it with a great seafood restaurant and finding a room when our hotel booking disappeared. Julio was a great driver and participated in helping us find what we needed. Thanks to Yucatan Concierge for making it happen.

I recently experienced an absolutely fantastic, week-long custom tour that was arranged by Daniella and her team at Yucatan Concierge. My wife and I were travelling with my senior citizen mother and our adult son, and we all had a fantastic time. I worked with Daniella over the course of several months to develop a great itinerary to view Mayan archaeological and cultural sites in Yucatan and Campeche states. We arranged for a full-time driver and an expert guide, both of whom were extremely professional and a pleasure to spend time with. Our driver Armando couldn't have offered any better service, and our guide David, has to be the best around, he is hands down a true expert. We never would have had the experience we did without these two, great guys. Daniella suggested many of our itinerary's destinations, and helped secure fantastic accommodations at top properties. She was also very helpful in arranging some of our most memorable meals, and suggested restaurants that we really enjoyed. I just can't say enough about how happy we were with our once-in-a-lifetime vacation. We never had to worry about anything, secure that we were in always in expert hands.

Daniella was a dream to work with! We created two custom trips, one to Uxmal and Hacienda Mucuyché, featuring one of more extraordinary Cenotes in the area. The other custom trip was to Ek Balem and another gorgeous Cenote recommended by Daniella -- Hubiku. I recommended a lunch place to Daniella and she was always open to accomodating us.Our guide for both tours, Fausto, was exactly what we were looking for: a seasoned professional, excellent English, tons of knowledge and a fun personality. Ask for him!Highly recommend Yucatan Concierge!!

Booked a private tour for Chichen Itza and a few other local sites… well we both love Archeology and Anthropology and got the BEST tour guide Fausto for the trip. So good that we had so much fun learning and finally seeing things we had read about, we actually spent the whole time just at Chichen Itza and we weren’t disappointed one bit. Even though only two of us we ended up picked up in a nice Mercedes van. The sort of long drive was very comfortable. Entry to the site was very easy. I do recommend asking to get there at opening ( it’s an easy ask) this allows you to beat the crowds and heat a little. Plus you can sleep on the drive. Other note: Yucatán Concierge’s coordinator was very responsive and easy to reach through emails. Highly highly recommend. It is a bit expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.

See my review for Chichen Itza specifically. But just wanted to reiterate that this was a great company to hire for tours in the Yucatán. Even though there was only two of us we ended up picked up in a nice Mercedes van. The sort of long drive was very comfortable. They managed to find us a place open early to stop for coffee. Entry to the site was very easy— our guide navigated the crazy crowds very quickly and we just stood off to the side — it was great. Our guide in general was amazing—Friendly and knowledgeable. Other note: Yucatán Concierge’s coordinator was very responsive and easy to reach through emails. Highly highly recommend. It is a bit expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.

We had a fantastic experience with yucatan concierge on a 5 night / 6 day trip around the yucatan. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Danielle was fabulous at making suggestions and helping us tailor make our trip and was always very prompt in responding to our questions and queries. Our guide David was simply wonderful. He was so knowledgeable about the Mayan sites, the Mayans more generally and yucatan history and culture. Our driver Rodolpho was also great! We had an amazing trip!

We were a family of seventeen people with children and elderly people and had a lovely time visiting Mayapan and the Monasterios route, thanks to the detailed planning of Yucatan Concierge. They took care of the transportation with very comfortable sits, safe and an excellent driver and they made sure that we visited breathtaking places with easy access for our whole family. We also had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant and we visited two Monasterios. Spending time in each little town was worthy, observing local people, buying clothes from the region, and enjoying a delicious ice cream on the downtown. I highly recommend hiring Yucatan Concierge if you wish to visit Mexico, they are truly experienced giving you a fulfilling experience.

Daniella is fantastic. She put together a great trip that hit the highlights of the Yucatan around Merida in the few days that I had -- Chichen Itza, Uxmal, and the protected wetlands at Celestun. Consistently excellent recommendations for hotels, restaurants, knowledgeable guide for the Maya ruins, and they were extremely helpful with the travel disruptions and changing plans caused by the coronavirus situation. Daniella is always accessible and every aspect of these tours can be personalized to your liking. This trip was too short, I would love to come back to Merida and I would certainly hire Yucatan Concierge again to help arrange the trip.

Daniella was a joy to work with to put tours together for our group of 5 couples. 3 couples did 3 tours including a city tour, Uxmal, Chocomuseum and Celestun Biosphere Tour. Two of the couples also did a day tour to Chichen-itsa and Ixmal while the remainder of the group did a cooking class. David, our guide was very knowledgeable and Roberto, our driver, was extraordinarifavally helpful as one of the members of our group had some challenges. Daniella also came to our aid with a visit to an Orthopedic Doctoer and facilities to help that person be more mobile for the last day of touring. Highly recommend and don't think you will be disappointed.

My family and I were going to Merida for a few days and wanted to experience some of the sights in a private tour. I contacted them telling them we had two young children, what we wanted to see and when. They came back with some great tailored suggestions. We chose a day trip to Chichen Itza & Valladolid with a cenote and another day at Celestun Biosphere. We had David as our guide and Freddy as our driver. David was EXCELLENT - very knowledgeable about the history and understanding when our youngest daughter became ill on the trip. They changed the tour slightly to compensate for her not being well and looked after us all so well. I can't explain how amazing it was to get back to the car after 2 hours walking in the blinding heat to cool face cloths and icy water to drink. Life saving! We were due to see Celestun the next day but apparently there was no flamingos there so they kindly let us know and asked if we wanted to do something else. David made a suggestion of a place he though we might see a flamingo and took us on this back road with his incredible telescope and we got to see some birds in the wild (side note - his specialty is bird watching so you MUST get him if you are interested in the local bird life). We ended up having a really great, spontaneous day - they were so flexible and accommodating even letting us have a few hours at our hotel in the heat of the day so our daughters could rest then coming back and taking us into Merida. I cannot recommend David and this tour company highly enough. It wasn't cheap but absolutely the best money we spent in Mexico and if we went back we would go to Merida just to experience more of their tours. They even gave us al little gifts at the end and our daughters were thrilled with their hats and domino set! Thank you Yucatan Concierge - you are the best!

Seeing the sites with Yucatan Concierge was one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico. From customizing our excursion to the professionalism of our guide and driver, we had a wonderful experience. Based on our preferences, Dani put together an itinerary that was well-suited to the four of us. Chichen Itza was our first stop (a must see), but then we went to an out of the way cenote (not crowded, and lovely), to Izamal. Along the way we stopped for lunch and pastries, and got to see parts of the area that no large groups were touring. We can't say enough about our guide, David, and driver, Freddy. David was engaging, very well informed, and had a nice balance of relaying information while also allowing us time as a family to talk among ourselves and just take in the views. He has a wealth of knowledge about the history and culture of the area, and would introduce different topics depending on where we were at the time. We had many questions and he was able to answer them all and provide helpful context. Freddy was a considerate and conscientious driver. We toured in a clean, well appointed Mercedes van. I think Yucatan Concierge offers a great alternative for a group looking for flexibility and control of your day touring the area. Spending the amount of time we wanted at particular sites was important to us. It was a hassle free way to make our time a wonderful experience.

I had the initial OMG moment as we walked down the grassy hill to this site. Then I had a few more as we walked the grounds. Incredible reconstruction of this ruin. And by all means, take a guide. There's so much history and such great stories that you want to hear it all. Try to get there early so you can enjoy the peaceful meditative space.

We gave Daniella a list of things we wanted to do and she quickly organized our activities into a perfect itinerary. She also incorporated some really good suggestions for additions that we wouldn't have found on our own that were enjoyed by everyone in our group. Daniella was super easy to work with, very flexible and responsive to our needs and was always quick to communicate when we asked a question. Also, after an unforeseen change to our lodging had to be made not long before we arrived, Daniella quickly changed our itinerary to match the new location of where we were staying.Once on the ground in Mexico, everything went flawlessly. We had Adam driving our group for the entire week and Jorge was our guide throughout the entire week. It was nice having the same driver and guide for our time in Mexico and gave us a really good opportunity to get to know both. They were both very flexible and incredibly accommodating to anything we needed along the way. Jorge was not only a blast to be with, but was also very knowledgeable about each of the six Mayan sites we saw. He worked very hard to make the sites both informative, but also fun for our children of various ages. We would highly recommend Yucatan Concierge to anyone looking for a guided trip around the Yucatan. From initial contact with the office to goodbye at the airport, everything is taken care of for you and organized exactly as you would like.

I am a wedding planner, and we hired Daniella from Yucatan Concierge to coordinate many transportation and tour experiences throughout the weekend. I cannot tell you how amazing she was! So responsive, and everything ran like clockwork. I knew from the moment I spoke with her that I was in good hands. Not only did she arrange for 3 days of tours throughout the Merida area for the guests, but she also handled all of the shuttle services to and from the wedding venue. I highly recommend Daniella and the Yucatan Concierge team!

My wife and I enjoyed a couple of hours in Izamal on a day tour. Loved the glow of the yellow buildings in the bright sunshine. The Chapel of the Third Order (St. Augustine of Padua) was the main attraction for us with its beautiful chapel, and the second-largest atrium in the catholic world.

Daniella Barrera, the owner of Yucatan Concierge, helped us put together an exceptional 8 day tour of the Mayan archaeological sites in both the Yucatan and Campeche. She also helped us to select and make reservations for hotels and restaurants in Merida that exceeded our expectations. Our guide David was extremely knowledgeable and fun to travel with. Also our driver Freddy was very personable. On our way home from the Yucatan we stopped in Mexico City where visited the Museo Nacional. We had visited this museum previously, however this time the visit was far more rewarding based on the excellent tour we had in the Yucatan and Campeche.I highly recommend using Yucatan Concierge for a visit to this region of México.

There is only one word to describe the service : “Excellent”!!! Jorge (our guide ) and Miguel (our driver) made the experience unique. The guide, Jorge, had an amazing knowledge about the history and region. He recommend us what to do and we couldn’t be more pleased .First we had an early tour in Chichenitza that could not be better, Jorge gave us a detailed explanation of all the complex and we visited during 3 hrs the best part of it.Next was the visit to the cenote and the kids love it!!! And finally we went to this little “Magic town” who was all painted in yellow (Izamar) . In Izamar we had a very delicious typical food and Jorge and Miguel were beyond the expected to make this day enjoyable. Thank you !!’ We highly recommend Yucatan Concierge

Having been in Merida for a month, we decided it was time for another full day trip. We booked our tour and were presently surprised when we discovered that we would be the only people on our tour. Our tour guide was Rosendo Pech and he was full of wonderful stories & historical information during the drive to Becal. He took us to a wonderful artisan’s shop where Rosendo perfectly translated the artist’s detailed account of how they make the hats. We toured Becal & then drove to the historic city of Campeche. We toured the fort, learned the history of the fort and then had am amazing lunch at a wonderful small hotel. Finally we toured the Campeche Centro and learned Campeche’s interesting history. REALLY it’s worth the trip!

We truly got blessed on this one. We book a private tour my daughter and I with a gentleman name Juan Gomez with YUM KIN travel. Juan speaks perfect english and has a degree in anthropology studying the Mayan culture. Super informative and super nice guy. We paid $850 pesos each that included authentic Mayan meal with fresh made corn tortillas and turkey.

I am writing a long overdue review...Let me first start out by saying that Daniella of Yucatán Concierge is very friendly and easy to work with. I first reached out to her about the tours with questions and she was so personable and she actually wanted to help me. Once we established my tour schedule with some great suggestions by Daniella everything was set. This company communicates very clearly and is here to help. My partner and I were picked up every day we had tours from our rental house. Not having to drive was very relaxing and made it a true vacation. Our tour guides were Jose (Pepe) and Adan. They were great hosts and we got to see some very special places that they wanted to show us. Over the 4 days we visited quite a few sites; Uxmal was my favorite next would be Chichen Itza. At the sites everything is taken care of by the company for a true VIP experience. Pepe is a very knowledgeable guide and I hope to connect with him and Yucatán Concierge when I visit again soon. I learned a lot and fell in love with the Yucatán. 10 star review for Yucatán Concierge. Thank you Daniella, Pepe, Adan!!

We took a day tour from our AirBnB outside Progreso. We visited the market in Uman, the fairly new Cenote Mucuyché, Hacienda Ochil for lunch, and then Uxmal. The cenote was just breathtaking. Ali was fun, upbeat, super knowledgeable, had tons of interesting history and information for us, and was an excellent translator. The buffet lunch at Ochil offered all kinds of Yucatecan specialties, which was great. And of course Uxmal was amazing and once again she was full of info. We would do it all again in a heartbeat!

We have booked a private tour from Cancun to Uxmal - 3 full days. We saw Tulum, Valladolid, Chichen Itza , Izamal, 2 different cenotes in which we swam, and to cap it all Flamingos in Celestun. The tour i snot teh cheapest but definitely worth, especially for travelers pressed for time - this way one can fit many events in tree days. Both driver and guide were very professional and friendly and accommodated our desires - such as stopping at two different markets and swimming at the wild beach. I definitely recommend this tour!

What an amazing team! In short - I would highly recommend Daniella and her team to anyone traveling to the Yucatán. They’re the best! We traveled to Mérida for our wedding with 90 of our friends and family and wanted to create a full weekend experience that introduced our guests to the Yucatán over several days. Working with Daniella and the amazing team at Yucatán Concierge, guests were invited to two full-day excursions that left everyone delighted, informed and in love with Yucatán. From day one, working with Daniella to organize and make all of the arrangements was an absolute breeze and pleasure. She was easy to communicate with, incredibly helpful and so organized! Daniella made recommendation on the best sites to show our large group, the best times to go, and was able to even accommodate our groups dietary restrictions with several of our guests being vegan and vegetarian. Loved meeting and working with her every step along the way. On the actual tour days, Daniella and the guides were onsite to pick us up in pristine air conditioned luxury vans - and treated guests to local snacks, refreshments and regional hand fans. Our first tour was to Mayapan and Cenotes Santa Barbara; while day two went to Uxmal, Hacienda Yaxcopoil, and Choco Story. Both days were enriching and well planned out - the guides were incredibly informed and left lasting impressions on us all. Each day included lunches that were incredibly delicious and introduced guests to some of the flavors that are unique to the Yucatán. Yucatán Concierge helped to make our wedding weekend such an amazing experience for everyone who attended and we are so grateful. Again, I highly recommend working with them to anyone looking to learn more about the region, Mayan culture, the local sites, regional flavors and more. We all loved the team and the experience!

Daniella Barrera from YUcatan Concierge is absolutely the BEST! We had a group of 25 active seniors and Daniella designed a great 6 day tour of the highlights around Merida. Lots of special details made the trip special for us. Daniella gave us lots of personalized service. She was extremely attentive to last minute adjustment to schedule. All our meals were All excellent! From the personal greeting at airport and bag pick up to the airport departure. She arranged for front row seats for our group at some of the fantastic FREE entertainment that is available every night around Merida- we really felt special!!Our guide, David Bacab, was one of the best we have ever had. He has a deep understanding of Mayan culture and Mexico history; he has a good way of explaining the Mayan culture that really cleared up a lot of misconceptions. He had a good pace to group and was good at keeping things moving and close to shaded areas as possible:) On top of it all David is a bird expert (trained at Cornel university!!! He made "birders" out of all of us!!Day 1-On our tour, we saw Uxmal and Kabah-both unique and interesting. Lunch at Mayaland hotel was good. We finished day at Chocolate Museum which was quite interesting, too. Day 2-Hacienda Sotuta-a working henequen plantation that teaches you all about how Rope used to be made. A swim at their beautiful cenote was very refreshing and fun. Followed by a great buffet lunch at the hacienda. This was my favorite day!!!Day 3- Chichen-Itza- this was fabulous! We had been 30 years ago. Glad we went back as it has changed a lot!!! David gave a lot of great details that made it very interesting!! Lunch buffet at Mayaland Hacienda excellent -worth seeing on its own-and had a little mini dance show:)Went to Valladolid on a friends recommendation but could have skipped this.Day 4-Lotun cave - this is not a big tourist attraction but we lived it!!! If you can't walk well or do stairs it is not for you. But we all made it just fine!! Beautiful! Then the Mani where we saw the convent and another great lunch at Principe de Tutul Xui. Again, Yucatán concierge did a great job. A good value! We interviewed over 7 other companies and feel fortunate to have selected Yucatán Concierge!!

I am just back from a Yucatan road trip organized by Yucatan Concierge. Daniella from the company was super helpful all through the trip planning & organization. She has been always highly responsive with the best local tips. Our guide Tony was super kind and nice and he has literally prepared everything just in time for our enjoyment eg delicious chaya drinks & guac as refreshments after our Chichen Itza tour, chilled water, timely pickup & returns, super comfy car. We got to see the Mayan culture, swam in the cenotes, the Las Coloradas pink salt lagoon visit & the birdwatching was the highlight (tons of like on my FB & IG), beaches, yummy food and all. Thanks so much Yucatan Concierge!

Everything was simply perfect: we really appreciated that the owner of Yucatan Concierge, MS. Daniella Barrera came to pick us at the airport, and our guide Santiago was very professional, attentive with us, and he stayed with us for more hours than I expected. Also, the car was very comfortable, and presence of water bottles during the trip was very important (due to the Hot climate). Last but not least, the itinerary was perfectly made, we really appreciated Daniella's add, the cenotes stop!
